About the Academy
We spend time and dedication learning about new technologies, methods and processes. This enables us to provide advice and support on strategic technology choices. We know what options are available, see the technology in context and have methods for solving really difficult problems.
We believe in the power of collaboration and sharing our knowledge is an important part of the Academy. We educate each other and our customers, contribute to research, offer internships, give guest lectures at universities and international conferences, and encourage interest in technology among children and young people.
Competence days
Competence days are organised every month. It is a forum driven primarily by curiosity and interest. Topics and formats vary, from structured theoretical seminars on a new technological advance to practical labs where we jointly solve a problem we encountered in a customer assignment.
OpKoKo
Twice a year we organise Omegapoint's skills conference called OpKoKo. It's two days filled with about fifty optional sessions organized in different themes. We have a committee that puts together the programme and our own experts provide the training. The standard is high! In several cases, OpKoKo has become a stepping stone to being invited to international conferences and we even have staff who have been awarded accreditation points for their training efforts.
Academy Classroom
Academy Classroom offers around twenty different courses on an ongoing basis. They are characterised by new topics, high level and fast pace. The courses are developed and taught by our own experts. We also use external institutes for courses we do not provide ourselves.
Academy Labs
Academy Labs are focused centres of excellence where employees with a particular interest come together and develop over time. The format varies from workshops to lectures and courses.
Seminar
Last but not least, we pick nuggets from our skills programme and regularly invite clients, industry colleagues and other interested parties to breakfast and lunchtime lectures.
