Academy Professional Program develops students into consultants
On your way to work?
Omegapoint's trainee program, the Academy Professional Program (APP), is aimed at those who come straight from university or technical college and have a passion for programming, development and cybersecurity.
We started APP 10 years ago and so far more than 100 students have started their careers as trainees with us. During the programme, you will build on your studies with theoretical and practical knowledge that is linked to the reality we live in. You will be supported by a mentor and hundreds of senior consultants who, in true Omegapoint spirit, enjoy sharing their knowledge.
We offer you a six-month program where work in customer projects is interspersed with training in everything from consulting roles to agile methods, secure application development, modern web techniques, test-driven development and much more.
After the program, you are fully trained as a trainee and take the next step. What that step looks like is very much up to you. With us, skills development never ends!
A sharp start to your career
Real missions
As a trainee with us, you are introduced to the consultant role by working on assignments with one of Omegapoint's customers, often together with other trainees or colleagues. Of course, always under the guidance of a senior consultant.
Sound training
The trainee period alternates work on customer assignments with training in everything from agile methods, secure application development, modern web technologies, cyber security and much more.
Experienced mentors
All trainees are assigned their own mentor. The mentor is a senior consultant whose role is to provide support and a sounding board and to ensure that you get a really good start to your career and with us!
The trainee program secure digitalisation
Virtually all business development today is digital development, whether it is about the future of transportation, shopping or banking. Digitalization develops our society but also makes it vulnerable. Today, cyber threats are a tangible problem for all actors in the business community and the public sector. The threats are growing and changing rapidly, which constantly places new demands on cybersecurity.
Developers with strong security skills are rare in the industry, but they are here. And they have often started as trainees! Cyber security is a growing market and you have an exciting future ahead of you.

Academy week
Our trainee program includes Academy Week. We bring all trainees together with the aim of offering them the very best start to their careers.
One part of the Academy Week is about getting to know each other. The other part is about sharpening technical skills. The days and evenings are therefore full of lectures, workshops, labs and socializing.

I appreciated that everything we learned during the trainee period was grounded in reality and that it was varied and fast-paced. After APP, I had the opportunity to take great responsibility and carry out extremely advanced tasks under supervision. I have always had strong sponsors pushing me in the right direction and very talented colleagues who like to share their knowledge. For me, APP has been a stepping stone to my role today where I have both a sales responsibility and a consulting role as a technical project manager.

What happens next?
Of course, your development does not stop after the trainee program. It is you who sets the limits for how far you want to go. With us, there is every opportunity for continuous skills development.
