Whistleblowing

What is whistleblowing and in which cases can you report?

Whistleblowing gives everyone an opportunity to report misconduct that comes to their attention in a work-related context. This means that employees, contractors, trainees, external consultants and others can blow the whistle.

Some examples of misconduct that can be reported are:

  • Circumstances endangering the life or health of employees

  • Damage to the climate or environment (dangerous products, pollution, etc.)

  • Corruption, bribery or other financial crimes (such as embezzlement, theft, fraud, etc.).

  • Misuse of financial resources

  • Unhealthy work environment (harassment, bullying, sexual harassment, discrimination, racism, etc.)

  • Violations of the Code of Conduct, our whistleblower policy and other applicable policies or guidelines.

If what is reported concerns a crime, a report will be made to the police authority.

The Whistleblower Act does not apply when reporting classified information or certain information relating to national security.

Where the conditions are met, the reporting person receives protection in the form of discharge, prohibition of obstruction and retaliation. The exemption from liability has certain limitations, e.g. it does not include the right to disclose documents. Anyone who commits a crime by reporting or obtaining information is not covered by this protection.

The employer is obliged to establish reporting channels and procedures for reporting and follow-up. You can read more in the Act (2021:890) on the protection of persons reporting misconduct.

Here's how to report:

Omegapoint Group has hired the company Lantero to handle the reporting. In addition to receiving the reports, their role includes confirming that the report has been received, following up on what has been reported and providing feedback on actions. The person handling a follow-up case is bound by professional secrecy.

Your identity is handled with 100% anonymity. Your identity will not be disclosed without your consent.

Lantero collects your personal data while the case is active. What is stored is name, e-mail address and telephone number. When the case is closed, all information is deleted from the encrypted servers located at GleSYS in Falkenberg and/or Stockholm. You always have the right, according to GDPR, to request to see what information is stored and request to delete information about you and your identity, under certain conditions.
